Impact Digital is commercial printing business offering a complete service to those seeking high quality digital printing and are a big leader in the environmental printing scene.
ecovantage worked with Impact Digital during their transition from their old site to their new site in Brunswick. ecovantage performed a greenhouse gas emission and energy waste water assessments of Impact Digital’s 2007 operations and completed an ecological sustainable design analysis of the new Brunswick site.
Since working with ecovantage in 2007, Impact Digital have gone ahead in leaps and bounds to manage and reduce their environmental impacts.
To name a few of the initiatives, Impact Digital have:
- established and implemented an Environmental Management System which is accredited under ISO14001;
- installed 88 solar panels on their roof including and a solar hot water system;
- installed a 6000 litre rainwater tank to capture from the roof that supply water to their eight onsite toilets;
- established a free cooling system that supplies 90 days of passive cooling a year; exchanged all energy intensive lighting with more efficient alternatives
- avoiding operational water consumption and toxic waste generation through using waterless presses rather than traditional systems
- begun supply of more sustainable paper stocks including Forestry Stewardship Council paper, promoting the responsible management of the worlds forests.
- been selected as a community leader in combating climate change by the Zero Carbon Moreland program.
- to date planted over 4000 trees to help offset their operational emissions
