VEET rebates can support growing businesses

Since the VEET scheme began rebate incentives have provided significant discounts on energy efficient upgrades for many Victorians who have wanted to improve the energy savings of their homes. Through free installs of energy saving products such as light globes to rebates on the upgrade cost of gas heating and energy efficient hot water systems, Victorians have been able to access energy saving technology which may have once been beyond their budget, at a greatly reduced cost.

A great opportunity for businesses to save on upgrading equipment

The expansion of VEET to include businesses has provided another opportunity for some who have been struggling with the rising costs of energy and who have yet to make the step towards installing energy efficient technology. 

There are 31 energy saving activities available to eligible Victorian businesses which provide rebates on energy saving installations, including; water heating, space heating and cooling. Added to the VEET Scheme for businesses are 9 business specific activities not available to the residential VEET Scheme, including;

• Commercial lighting upgrades
• Upgrading to a high efficiency refrigerated display cabinet
• Upgrading to a high efficiency fan motor in a commercial fridge, freezer or cool room
• Replacing a 3 phase motor with a high efficiency 3 phase motor
