The initial phases of the program complement and enhance the later phases. Undertaking all of the phases will provide the best results, however phases can be implemented separately where required. The timeframe for completion can be flexible with each phase completed as time and budget allows.
Greenhouse Gas Emission Assessment
Identify and Calculate Greenhouse Gas Emissions
The greenhouse gas emission assessment will provide an analysis of operations to define an emissions inventory and allow for benchmarking. This process will assist understanding of emission sources from operational activities and enable the development of greenhouse gas monitoring and management systems.
Energy, Water and Waste Efficiency Assessment
Reduce Consumption of Energy and Water and the Generation of Waste
ecovantage provides energy, water and waste assessments of operational sites to determine current usage patterns and management. The assessment allows site specific opportunities for reduction and subsequent cost savings to be identified. A report of the assessment incorporates alternative cost/benefit analysis of recommendations and the associated payback periods. Identifying site specific opportunities for increasing resource efficiency is essential for effective environmental impact management of the operations within a facility.

The Beyond Program’s strategy phase allows ecovantage to work with your organisation to
incorporate the outcomes of the assessments into the overall context of operations. ecovantage can
assist your organisation develop one or more of the following:

Implementation
Adopt recommendations to manage and reduce
The implementation phase involves an ongoing commitment by ecovantage to ensure your
organisation achieves defined environmental targets. ecovantage can organise formal quotations for
the implementation of the recommendations through our network of designers, product suppliers,
tradespeople and technical specialists. Alternatively, we can coordinate and oversee the work of
sub-contractors of your choosing. The Implementation phase may involve staff/student training
and/or engagement to assist in obtaining the benefits of behavioural change. ecovantage can also
coordinate and undertake staff briefings of newly defined environmental policies and management
systems. This phase will ensure strategies are soundly incorporated into operations and with
minimal disruption.
Monitor and Review
Ensure delivery, modify next stages and continue to communicate
The implementation of environmental strategies should be reviewed and monitored on a regular basis to ensure objectives are being met and measure the outcomes of the approach adopted. Policy and environmental management system auditing can be provided to monitor compliance and assist the revision of plans. A recalculation of greenhouse gas emissions can be performed to ensure your organisation is on track to achieve targets. The monitor and review phase also allows ecovantage to keep your organisation up to date with the latest sustainability issues that may impact the industry sector and business in general.
