First Power Station Registered for REGOs

Ecovantage has successfully registered the first of many power stations under the new federal Guarantee of Origin (GO) scheme

The power station comprises of a solar PV system in NSW and will create REGO (Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin) certificates every month for the client.

Unlike Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGCs) which will stop with the Renewable Energy Target (RET) ending in 2030, the GO scheme does not have a scheduled finish date and is designed as an enduring framework to operate beyond 2030. Since the two scheme are running side-by-side until 2030, power stations currently creating LGCs registered under the RET may be eligible to be transferred over to the GO scheme to create REGOs.

If you would like to discuss having your new site registered, or have an existing site transferred over to REGOs, please reach out to our team below.
