State-Based Incentives.
State and federal energy saving programs dictate the financial incentives and rebates that are available for upgrades.

South Australia
Under the REPS program, a range of split system, ducted and evaporative systems are eligible for financial incentives.

New South Wales
Under the Energy Savings Scheme selected air conditioning units have financial incentives to help you reduce energy use.

Victoria
Under the VEU, incentives are available for reverse cycle air conditioners, including ducted systems.
Indicative Rebates.
How much rebate can you expect?
The discount or rebate you receive will vary. The final price will depend on several factors, including:
-
- The type of equipment and efficiency rating being installed
- The location of the premises of the installation
- Installation costs from the installer
- Administrative costs of accredited providers
- The current energy certificate trading price
The partners will help you choose the most suitable solution for your needs and provide a cost estimate before you proceed, so there are no nasty surprises.
In New South Wales financial incentives are influenced by the installation location, as explained on the Energy NSW website. Regional is considered a cold climate zone and metro is considered an average climate zone, and this is factored into the energy schemes.
Note that the rebates below are estimates only (accurate as of August 2023); your installer will confirm the actual amount prior to installation.
